DR. Philip Manyi Omenge is a professional in the domain of Integrated Natural Resources Management (INRM). He is a distinguished Kenya and Swedish Trained Academic and an Expert in Integrated Natural Resources Management with over twenty years of experience in INRM. DR. Omenge is the Chief Lead Expert in Sigtuna Consultancy a premier Firm of Experts that provides demand-driven services and technical expertise for corporates, government and private sector projects to address an array of environmental and natural resource management issues while providing solutions that effectively integrate investments in natural resource management with economic and social development.

DR. Omenge is a result driven research scientist with a strong passion for resources mobilization and grants success building on granting making achievement for his Masters and Directorate Studies and research work thereafter. He has proven leadership qualities, teamwork spirit, and is business-minded with an interest for scientific collaborations and the development of international academic partnerships in his area of professional work. He has received funding from Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), Sveriges Lantbruksuniversiten (SLU) Sweden, International Foundation of Science (IFS), Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) Waterloo University, Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) Canada, Nyumba Foundation, Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and Food Agriculture Organization (FAO)/ Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

He has outstanding intellectual publication record in international indexed journals to understand and manage cross-cutting issues in the field of Integrated Natural Resources Management. He has published several scientific articles in internationally reputable peer reviewed journals including WIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment, International Journal of Energy Production and Management, International Journal of Environmental Impacts, Sustainability and Biodiversity Conservation and East African Journal of Environment and Natural Resources.

At the National Level, DR. Omenge is a Lead Practicing Member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya (EIK), a registered, licensed and practicing Environmental Impact Assessment/Environment Audit Lead Expert by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Kenya. At the International Level, he is a member of the International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA), Member Environmental Peacebuilding Association (EnPax), Participating Member (Domain IV) Affordable Energy for Humanity (AE4H) and Member Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability (NERPS).

DR. Omenge supervises Undergraduate, Masters and Doctorate students researching in different facets of Integrated Natural Resources Management. He has participated in research, professional meetings and conferences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Senegal, Egypt,Namibia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain. He has also presented an online public lecture at the University of Waterloo Canada.
